Shahriar Shams-Ansari is an investor on Brookfield’s Growth team, where he focuses on venture capital and growth equity investments across areas including proptech, fintech, consumer internet, and enterprise software. Representative investments include Hopper, PassiveLogic, FLASH Parking, Material Bank, and Plentific. Shahriar joined Brookfield from H.I.G. Growth Partners, where he focused on high-growth investments in the technology, consumer, and healthcare sectors. He previously also worked in venture capital at ILONA Capital after starting his career in investment banking. Mr. Shams-Ansari holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, is a proud Canadian and C100 member, serves as the Co-Lead of the Proptech Vertical for the Emerging Venture Capitalist Association (“EVCA”), and on the Venture Leadership Board of the Center for Real Estate Technology and Innovation (“CRETI”).
